A Finish That Looks Good And Holds Up In Storage
Sun and oxidation dull a gelcoat finish faster than most owners expect, and an unprotected boat sitting through the off season is exposed to snow, ice, and debris. A buff and wax restores the shine and adds a layer of protection, and a proper shrink wrap keeps that protection intact all winter.
Our team handles both, so your boat comes out of storage looking the way it went in.
Two Services In One Visit
Buff & Wax
Wash & Prep
The hull is washed and prepped so the surface is completely clean before any compound touches it.
Buff, Compound & Wax
Oxidation and scratches are compounded out, then a protective wax is applied to bring back the shine and guard against sun and water.
Shrink Wrap
Frame & Support
A support frame is built where needed so the wrap sheds water and snow instead of pooling on the boat.
Heat Seal & Trim
The wrap is heat sealed tight around the boat, then vents and access points are trimmed and sealed for the season.
Buff, Wax & Shrink Wrap FAQ
Once a year is typical for most owners, though a boat that sees heavy sun exposure or is stored outdoors may benefit from more frequent attention.
Indoor storage reduces the need, but many owners still choose a wrap for dust protection or added peace of mind. If you store outdoors, a wrap is strongly recommended.
Shrink wrap is cut away when it comes off in the spring, so a fresh wrap is applied each storage season.
